    Amir Course

IDF research indicates that the integration of Ethiopian soldiers into the military is less successful as that of soldiers of other communities.

The Libi Fund’s Amir Course was launched specifically for the Ethiopian community and is held at the Alon Farm Base in the north; the course runs for 5 weeks.

Soldiers are given tools to develop their potential; they have personal interviews, aptitude tests and enrichment courses, enabling an evaluation of the individual soldier’s aptitude to fit into the various army duties.

The course is held at the beginning of enlistment into the army and at its end further tests are held to determine the changes undergone by the individual soldier.

The eventual goal is to enable these soldiers to access more challenging and influential positions in the military, and eventually, upon completion of their military service ease their entry into Israeli society.
