Together in the Seder
"Yahad" – United for Israel's Soldiers hosts the annual Passover Seder for lone soldiers serving in the IDF. This year, about 400 lone soldiers from 35 different countries gather at the vacation village in Givat Olga to celebrate the Seder. In the village, the soldiers received many gifts and treats and got to spend the holyday with their friends.
Two surprising guests attended the Seder, the IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi and the President Reuven (Rubi) Rivlin, both thanked the lone soldiers for the sacrifices they made in order to serve in the IDF and protect the State of Israel.
"Together in the Seder" is been held for 18 years, this project allow us to show our gratitude for the lone soldiers of the IDF and make them feel at home even if they are very far away from it.
This year the Seder has been held thanks to the generous donation from the IDF supporters in Canada.
